EMC Group provided civil engineering services for Woodbridge Meadows, a multi-phase residential subdivision in the Woodbridge community of Vaughan. Our scope covered the full range of subdivision engineering, including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, watermain, road design, and site grading across all phases of development. We worked with the City of Vaughan, York Region, and the TRCA to obtain engineering approvals and manage the phased construction of this significant residential community.

Multi-phase subdivisions require a master servicing strategy that ensures each phase can function independently while integrating seamlessly with subsequent phases. Our team designed trunk sanitary and storm sewer systems sized to accommodate the ultimate buildout, with interim connections and temporary grading solutions for each construction phase. The stormwater management plan addressed cumulative impacts across all phases, incorporating quality and quantity controls that satisfy both City of Vaughan and TRCA requirements.

Throughout the multi-year development process, our engineers managed the approval submissions for each phase, coordinated with utility providers, and provided construction oversight to verify that all installed infrastructure met the design specifications. The phased approach allowed the developer to respond to market conditions while maintaining consistent engineering standards and infrastructure quality across the entire Woodbridge Meadows community.
