EMC Group provided civil engineering and site servicing design for the Mississauga Valley Community Centre, located at 1275 Mississauga Valley Boulevard. Our scope included site grading, storm drainage design, sanitary sewer connections, watermain servicing, and the design of parking areas and access driveways. We worked in close coordination with the City of Mississauga to meet all municipal engineering requirements for this public recreation facility.
Community centre projects demand careful attention to site grading and drainage, particularly around large roof areas, parking surfaces, and pedestrian gathering spaces. Our team designed a stormwater management system that handles runoff from the building footprint and surrounding hardscape while maintaining water quality targets set by the City. We also ensured that the site grading provided barrier-free access to all building entrances and connected seamlessly with adjacent municipal sidewalks and pathways.
Throughout the design and approvals process, we coordinated with the project architect, landscape architect, and City of Mississauga engineering staff. Our team prepared the site servicing drawings, grading plans, and supporting technical reports needed to obtain site plan approval. The result is a fully serviced recreation facility that supports the community programming goals of the City while meeting all engineering and environmental standards.
