Our team provided civil engineering and site plan design for the Maple Nissan Dealership at 100 Auto Vaughan Drive in Maple. The engineering scope included site grading, storm sewer and sanitary sewer design, watermain connections, and the layout of customer parking, vehicle display areas, and service access routes. We coordinated with the City of Vaughan to obtain site plan approval for this commercial automotive facility.
Automotive dealerships present unique site engineering challenges due to the large expanses of impervious surface required for vehicle display lots, customer parking, and service areas. Our team designed a comprehensive storm drainage system to manage runoff from these extensive paved surfaces, incorporating stormwater management controls to meet City of Vaughan and TRCA quality and quantity requirements. The grading plan ensured positive drainage across the display lots while maintaining the flat, accessible surfaces needed for vehicle merchandising.
We also designed the site servicing connections to the municipal sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain systems along Auto Vaughan Drive. The engineering design addressed the operational needs of the dealership, including service bay drainage, wash bay water management, and accessible customer pathways from the parking areas to the showroom entrance. Our team prepared all site servicing drawings, grading plans, and technical reports required for site plan approval by the City of Vaughan.
