EMC Group delivered civil engineering and site servicing design for Kleinburg College, an educational facility located in the Kleinburg community of the City of Vaughan. Our scope of work covered site grading, storm and sanitary sewer design, watermain connections, parking lot layout, and access road design. We worked with the City of Vaughan and York Region to obtain the engineering approvals required for this institutional development.
Educational facilities present unique site engineering challenges, including the need to manage high volumes of pedestrian and vehicular traffic during peak arrival and dismissal periods. Our team designed the site circulation to separate bus lanes, parent drop-off areas, and staff parking, while ensuring that the grading and drainage systems handle runoff from large roof areas and extensive paved surfaces. The stormwater management design incorporated quality and quantity controls in accordance with municipal and conservation authority requirements.
Throughout the project, we coordinated closely with the project architect and the City of Vaughan planning and engineering departments. Our team prepared the complete site servicing package, including grading plans, servicing drawings, and all supporting technical reports necessary for site plan approval. The result is a well-engineered campus that provides safe, accessible, and properly serviced grounds for the Kleinburg community.
