EMC Group provided civil engineering and site servicing design for the Beatty Fleming Senior Public School, located at 21 Campbell Drive in Brampton. Our engineering scope included site grading for the school addition, storm drainage design, sanitary sewer connections, watermain servicing, and the redesign of parking and drop-off areas. We worked directly with the City of Brampton and the school board to meet all municipal and institutional requirements.
School site engineering requires careful attention to student safety, particularly in the design of vehicular circulation, bus loading zones, and pedestrian routes. Our team designed the site grading and drainage systems to ensure that all walkways and play areas drain effectively, eliminating ponding in high-traffic zones. The storm sewer system was designed to handle runoff from both the existing and expanded building footprints, along with the associated hardscape areas.
We coordinated the engineering design with the project architect and the City of Brampton engineering department, preparing site servicing drawings, grading plans, and the supporting technical reports needed for site plan approval. Our team also addressed stormwater management requirements in accordance with City of Brampton and conservation authority standards. The result is a safely engineered school site that supports the expanded capacity while maintaining efficient drainage and servicing across the property.
